Cosette Murphy grew up in communist Romania. She escaped to Australia for a new life of “freedom” in 1993 thinking she’d left the horror of the Soviet system behind her. Since then, she has watched with dismay as the creep of government overreach begins to envelope the lives of ordinary Australians. This was obvious to many during Covid but Cosette’s experience tells her we are only at the beginning of a new totalitarian order.
